TEHRAN (FNA)- An Iranian delegation of fishery industrialists and businessmen will travel to Greece within a month to widen trade and marketing ties with the Southeastern European country, Head of Iran-Greece Joint Chamber of Commerce Majid Movafegh Ghadiri said on Tuesday. "The delegation will hold talks with members of Greece Chamber of Commerce as well as Greek private sector's activists to make them familiar with the potentials and investment opportunities of Iran in fishery industry," Ghadiri said. He said Greece ranks first in production among European Union and Mediterranean countries of Commercial aquaculture finfish species and exchanging scientific and technological know-how with them can be highly benefitial to Iran. In May, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras stressed that Tehran sees no boundary or impediment to the all-out expansion of relations with Athens. "Iran sees no limit to the development of ties with Greece," Zarif said during the meeting in Athens. He also underlined the necessity for paving the ground for the endorsement of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Iran and Greece to increase mutual cooperation in different fields. Tsipras, for his part, called for the enhancement of bilateral relations with Iran, and said, "We shouldn’t miss the opportunity for cooperation in fields of interest." Iran's President Hassan Rouhani in April underlined the abundant capacities of Greece in various fields, and called for the promotion of Tehran-Athens economic cooperation. Speaking in a meeting with Greece's incoming Ambassador to Tehran Georgious Aifantis, President Rouhani said there was no barrier to the enhancement of bilateral relations between the two friendly nations. "Iran is a key country in the region and Athens is resolved to be Tehran's friend and strategic partner," the Greek envoy said for his part.
