Fifth Meeting of Conference of Animal Feed industry

Majid Movafegh Ghadiri at the fifth Meeting of Conference of Animal Feed Industry on Monday, August 8th, 2016, which was held in the Iran Chamber of Commerce, said:" processing industry and agriculture are the concept of sovereignty and national security of the country; also export-oriented of animal feed production should not undermine of any issue". Member of Iran Chamber of Commerce`s delegation added: "all decision making in business must be in the direction that the country's exports grow, the windows of relationship with the global economy stay open and our exchange-rate policy, monetary, fiscal and tax rules must be in the shape of strategy based on the export-oriented production, that is our relationship with the world should be based on selling not buying. In this regard, ministry of Agriculture should emphasize on the importance of commitment to the organization and institution more than product-oriented". Movafegh Ghadiri at this meeting with an emphasis on starting new season of cooperation between economic actors and agricultural institutions in the country said:" Iran in animal feed, poultry and aquatic feed and livestock sector has a comparative advantage and competitiveness in the regional economy and transnational". He referring to studies about Iran's membership in WTO noted: "one of the sectors that concluded clearly from these studies was agriculture because Iran's membership in WTO has agriculture economic efficiency which requires investment. Therefore huge investments should be made in the agricultural sector and processing industry, which is one of its most important parts, are manufacturers of animal feed, poultry and fish feed". Movafegh Ghadiri referring the privatization wave as an economic thinking in the recent century and said:"in this approach the Governments aim to sell their companies to earn more money and lead to their developments, however, what should never be forgotten is that if working conditions and profitability in one country is not appropriate, even this approach would not be useful". He emphasized that experience has proven that only way for saving the economy is definitely improving business situation. He added the government should not be replaced by people for managing the economy, but its duty is to safeguard of the free economic activity. This economic active talked about the economy experience economic of developed countries and their relation to protection policies in agriculture section and said: "In countries that have a free and open economy, we are witness the most protection policies in agriculture. Nowadays the demand for animal feed, poultry and aquatic is on the rise in our region and the world, moreover, Iran is one of the best advantages in this regard, it must be created an organization among the production, trade and marketing for its support and marketing". Referring to the performance of Iran Feed Industry Association as one of the most active organizations of Iran, he noted:" we must strengthen the relationship between the association, the Parliament as well as the Ministry of Agriculture and create teamwork for communication between the Parliament and the Ministry of Agriculture that encompass various aspects".
