Asia`s Share was More than 30 Percent of the World's Share in Feed Industry
Chairman of Iran Feed Industry Association with the announcement of the formation of the Federation of Asian Feed with the cooperation of Iran, said: Last year about one billion tons of industrial feed was produced in the world, which from this amount Asia`s share was more than 30 percent of the world's share, and it was equivalent to 360 million tons.
Majid Movafegh Ghadirly in an interview with reporter of agricultural sector of Tasnim News informed of consultations to form the Federation of Asian feed with the participation of reputable companies, professional associations related to the feed industry in Asia and international organizations.
"Federation of Asian Feed Industry will form with the aim of effective and more participation in decision-making process, efficient use of resources and environmental protection, study and handle of the problems of animal feed industry as well as transfer of knowledge and experience of different countries on different issues and related to the chains of livestock, poultry and aquatic feed industry", he said.
Member of Agriculture Commission of Iran Chamber of Commerce said that among the top twenty feed producers of the world, 8 countries and among the top ten countries in the world, China, India, and Japan are in Asia.
Asia is producing 151 million tons of poultry feed, 40 million tons of feed for ruminants, 27 million tons of aquatic feed, 500 thousand tons of horse feed, 128 million tons of feed for pigs, and 1.7 million tons of feed for pets is the largest manufacturer of industrial animal feed among other continents of the world, emphasized Movafegh Ghadiri.
"About 26 million tons of feed is producing in the Middle East that the share of industrial feed of poultry, ruminants, aquatic and horses in these figures respectively is: 17.6, 7.1, 0.7 and 0.2 million tons", added this economic expert.
"the rapid changes in the global arena and related issues to the globalization, which leads to more difficult international competition in the economic field, however, this synergy will definitely accelerate the realization of expected results", he stated with mentioning that formation of this federation will create synergy in advancement of the Iran feed industry association's activities.
Member of the Board of Representatives of Iran Chamber of Commerce, in another part of his speech stated: "for this purpose, numerous consultations are in progress with the feed industry associations of leading countries in Asia, including India, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. With the planning done we intend to consult with China, South Africa, Germany, Belgium as well as Netherlands in World Feed Federation for protection of conformation of Asian Federation".
The most important issue at the present time, after Sanction, which should be considered, is preparation for new international space in our country economy and the way of using this space for solving the historical problems of economic structure, Movafegh Ghadiri emphasized.
