Sindirações, The National Union of Animal Feed Industry

The National Union of Animal Feed Industry - Sindirações began operations in January 1953 as a union of balanced feed industries. In 1995, in response to a growing business demand, the evolution of technology and the emergence of various segments within the animal feed industry, was transformed into the Union of Animal Feed Industry, to welcome all the segments operating in the sector.
Today is the main forum for discussion of all issues related to animal feed as well as being the spokesman of the sector. Among its members, are of commercial feed mills, premix industries producing mineral supplements; national and multinational manufacturers of ingredients and raw materials, traders, agro-industries, farms, etc., account for 90% of the sector's output.
Sindirações is at the front of a productive sector which accounts for 1.8% of GDP, moves somewhere around $ 9.3 billion / year and has a leading role in the areas of further development of our economy, involving the whole chain production of the food industry. Within the Sindirações, there are several working groups, which add up to a common effort to facilitate the barriers of different supply chains in which it appears.
The Sindirações is a professional association with trade union characteristic provide it: Represent the sector before the government agencies that regulate, before other professional associations, to the press and public opinion in general. When we talk about animal feed sector, we are talking Manufacturers of agricultural line feed, food manufacturers for pets, mineral supplements manufacturers and manufacturers and / or importers of raw materials for animal feed. The Sindirações is affiliated to IFIF - International Feed Industry Federation, and its president a member of its board.

MISSION Be the voice of the animal feed industry, building an appropriate competitive environment and contributing to the production of safe food. To meet the mission Sindirações should:
1. Dialogue with the Government for a fairer taxation incident in animal protein production chain.
2. Pro participate actively in actions to generate public policies that impact food security and competitiveness of the livestock production chain;
3. Promote dialogue and represent the industry before the main national and international organizations that impact the animal feed sector (Government, Associations, Unions, FAO, ILO, Codex, OIE, WTO and others);
4. To facilitate global harmonization of corollary laws governing the animal feed sector;
5. To promote the professional qualifications through education and training in the industry interest issues;
6. Encourage continuous improvement of food safety standards;
7. Stimulate the Research, Development and Innovation.
