Joint meeting of the Agriculture Committee of the Islamic Parliament with members of Iran Feed Industry Association

On 3rd July 2017, meeting of the Working Group of Livestock, Poultry and Aquaculture with the presence of the members of Agriculture Committee of the Islamic Parliament, the heads of effective associations of livestock, poultry and aquaculture industries and livestock feed industry activists was held in Iran Chamber of Commerce.
At the beginning of the meeting, Majid Movafegh Ghadirli, Chairman of Iran Feed Industry Association and Working Group Chairman of the Livestock, poultry and aquaculture sector of Iran Chamber Commerce, presented a summary of the process of joint activities with the livestock and poultry and aquaculture committee of the Islamic Parliament.
The most important approvals are:
• Allocation of a 49% government contribution to the formation of National Fund to support the development of livestock feed factories.
• Effective parliamentary measures to prevent the production of feed in breeding units (poultry, livestock and aquaculture) and unauthorized production centers
• Determination of the articles 18 and 19 of the Executive regulations of Veterinary health monitoring on the legal duty of the Iran Veterinary Organization in Article 34 of the Sixth Development Plan.
• To consider Tax exemption for livestock feed manufacturers and approving the necessary decrees in parliament and government
• Review the implementation of some of the parallel works of the work groups of Veterinary Organization and the National Standard Organization in Parliament.
• The Ministry of Agricultural Jihad take the necessary steps towards managing and organizing feed mills as well as unauthorized Production Centers.
• Due to influenza outbreaks observed during the warm season, the "Influenza Headquarters" should be formed by the presence of competent authorities.
• The parliament should inform the social security organization regarding the Non-compliance of this organization with the new regulations and new directives of the government on social security audits.
