Exclusion of the exchangeable currency for various types of meal, was canceled

The chairman of Iran Feed Industry Association stated that the removal of the exchange of 15 items of meal has been suspended, "It was decided that no decision would be made without the comments and coordination of the Ministry of Jihad in this regard."
Majid Movafegh Ghadirli, in an interview with Mehr News Agency, said that the removal of the exchangeable currency of 15 items of meal, including soybean meal, has been abandoned for the time being.
"Following the accredited national organizations and the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, One of the issues raised during the last week meeting of the Market Adjustment Headquarters was this issue, and it was decided that any decision Should not be taken in this field without comments and coordination of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad and the Ministry of Industry, And the trade, which the Trade Development Organization is its trustee, and in the case of soybean meal and other basic and strategic goods, it must be in full coordination with the Ministry of Jihad and the Announcement of the market regulation headquarters”, he expressed.
“It was also stipulated that the exchangeable currency should now be given to these meals until a new decision would be made. However, this issue is under consideration, when and how to do, because there are discussions that the exchangeable currency of corn is also eliminated, while corn is one of the most important and basic inputs that it is not easy to decide on it”, the Chairman of Iran Feed Industry Association stated.
"Our demand from the government is that according to the law on continuous improvement of the business, before the implementation of such decisions, it is necessary to inform the private sector in order to reduce the tensions of the market and production," he emphasized.

The chairman of the Iran Feed Industry Association in another part of his speech stating that one of the important issues that the government is pursuing is the issue of the homogenization of the exchange rate.” The reform is necessary in the exchange rate and my opinion is that the real exchange rate is about 6200 Tomans,” he said.
"Currently, the price of exchangeable rate is about 3300 to 3400 Tomans, and the free exchange rate is between 3800 and 3900 Tomans. If this price is real, it will have a positive impact on national trade balance adjustment, national production and export boom as well," said Ghadirli.
He expressed that the export Development, reducing smuggling of goods, reducing the impact of sanctions, reducing oil dependency and adjusting the country's trade balance could be the short-term and long-term effects of the homogenization of the exchange rate.
Majid Movafegh Ghadirli stated that the price of protein products will increase by 15% to 20%; however, to compensate this situation, it should also increase the level of people's income and per capita consumption through the prosperity of production, the elimination of existing rents, the competitiveness of the production space in the country, the attraction of foreign investment and exports development, which happens which happens by the homogenization of the exchange rate.

He said that this could affect the livestock industry within a 3 to 4-month period, but in the long term its positive effects would be undeniable. At the end Dr.Ghadirli said that the people of the livestock, poultry and aquaculture industry are opposed with the allocation of the exchangeable currency to the soybeans and oil and believe that the business conditions in the country should be the same for everyone.
