Movafegh Ghadiry in a meeting with the member of the Board of Directors of the European Feed Manufacturers' Federation:
“The transfer of technology and joint production is the cooperation axis between Iran and Europe”.
Member of the Board of Directors of the European Feed Manufacturers' Federation had a meeting with Majid Movafegh Ghadiry. According to Ghadiry, the presence of EU delegation in Iran, represent a strong determination to develop cooperation between the European Union and Iran in the field of animal feed as well as technology, feed additives, supplement, and machinery.

“In the past two years, good and positive cooperation has been established, especially in the field of technology transfer and joint production of livestock feeds between Iran and the European Union, and the continuation of this cooperation could have tangible results in the near future”, said Movafegh Ghadiry.
Member of the Delegation of Iran Chamber of Commerce said that we need the European Union's support and assistance in reaching global markets for protein products and all kinds of animal feed; also, our business strongly needs the knowledge and technologies of the world today and we hope we can use the help of European Feed Manufacturers` Federation. Movafegh Ghadiry by emphasizing on the importance of educational cooperation between Iran and the European Union and continued: "The familiarity of producers and exporters of livestock products and animal feed with European standards can also lead to good bilateral cooperation.
The Chairman of Iran Feed Industry Association also noted the joint venture between the European Union and Iran, and said that there is a possibility of joint investment in many areas, especially in the area of animal feed and joint production, the two sides can cover and import to the entire market of half a million tons of the region around Iran.
Further, Ghadiri emphasized the necessity of concluding an MOU between the two sides and said: "due to the diverse backgrounds and perspectives for future cooperation between Iran and the European Union, especially in the field of feed safety and security, Iran's private sector is ready to cooperate with the European Union in a specific comprehensive plan”.
In this meeting, Member of the board of directors of FEFAC said: "We are interested in developing economic cooperation with Iran. We know that over these years, great potential has been created for joint cooperation in the production of animal feed with Iran”.
Mrs. Christina De Souza said that following the meeting of the President of FEFAC with the President of IFIA in Italy, the Federation is planning to conclude a Memorandum of Understanding between these two organizations for developing the mutual collaboration.
"Iran can be the hub of the region and the distribution center for the European Union, with welcoming the comments of Chairman of IFIA on joint production of Iran and the European Union and the importation of products to the neighboring countries of Iran, added Mrs. De Souza.
The Chairwoman of the Portuguese Animal Feed Association continued: "During visiting Iranian livestock feeds, we have discovered the progress of Iran and we can say that today, a new chapter in the development of trade and production can be seen in Iranian animal husbandry and feed industries.
At the end of this meeting they joined Commissioner Phil Hogan and Mr. Jerzy Plewa. Commissioner Phil Hogan by referring to his meetings with the Minister of Agriculture Jihad said: "We are planning to export items such as Salmon trout and Ostrich from Iran to the European Union freely. It is also planned to release exporting EU meat products to Iran in 2018".
The EU Commissioner of Agriculture, welcoming the development of cooperation between IFIA and FEFAC and said: "We need to take advantage of the opportunities created by the negotiations so that the results of the talks were launched very soon and people can see the effects of these negotiations."
