Travel of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan to Tehran

On the invitation of Mr. Hojjati, Minister of Agriculture of Iran, on last Saturday and Sunday, November 25th-26th, 2017, Mr. Myrzakhmetov Askar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, at the head of a high-ranking delegation including government officials and managers of the agricultural sector from Kazakhstan traveled to Iran for exploring the capacities of the collaborating between two countries.
During these two days, several discussions were held between experts of the Iran Feed Industry Association and the agricultural directors of Kazakhstan. The agreement resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Iran Feed Industry Association and the Kazakhstan government trading company in the presence of the two ministers and all of the deputies of the Ministry of Agriculture and authorities of the two countries.
One of the important issues which have been mentioned in this MOU is the Purchasing of variety of raw material (barley, various meals and feed stocks) of Kazakhstan with a capacity of 200,000 tons, provided that the various protein products, medications, supplements and feed additives from Iran are purchased by this country, which was agreed by the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
The next point was the participation of Iranian companies in setting up industrial production units for Compound feed, milk, meat, and egg in Kazakhstan, which was supported by Kazakhstan's higher agricultural officials at the dinner party.
The other issue was the swap of cereals and animal feed with cooperation of this country, which was mentioned by Mr.Mehrfard at the dinner reception, and it was also emphasized by Mr. Myrzakhmetov. He asked one of the managers to prepare the executive proposals as soon as possible.
On the occasion of the presence of Kazakhstan's top officials as well as the development of the commercial relations between IRFIA and Kazakhstan, Mr. Myrzakhmetov and his accompanying delegation, together with the Iran`s Deputies Minister of Agriculture and other Iranian authorities, were the special guests of Dr. Ghadirly`s dinner reception at The Milad Tower restaurant.
