History of IFIA

Iran Feed, Additive and Drug Joint – Stock Company (IFDAC), was founded in 1998 by 143 Shareholders of affiliated operating companies with the aim of establishing one of the most comprehensive and consolidated Industrial and Commercial organization to improve feed production both in quality and quantity in Iran.
In 2013, in the direction of improving Protein Products (Dairy products, Meat, Poultry, egg, etc) supply chain in Iran, and in parallel to better and elevate quality and quantity of “Feed industry”, “Iran Feed Industry Association” was established under auspicious and permission of “Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
IFIA, based in Tehran, and the official member of International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF), is Iran`s largest organization devoted exclusively to representing the business, legislative and regulatory interests of the Iran animal feed industry and its suppliers. IFIA also is the recognized leader for international companies and provincial associations. Members include more than 600 domestic companies, are livestock feed and Additive feed manufacturers, integrators, pharmaceutical companies, ingredient suppliers, equipment manufacturers and companies which supply other products, services and suppliers to feed manufacturers. The feed industry makes a major contribution to feed safety, nutrition and the environment, and it plays a critical role in the production of healthy, wholesome meat, milk, fish and eggs. In general, IFIA`s company members are manufacturing more than 80 percent of Iran`s Compound and Industrial Feed.
